Jackie Castell

Jackie has 20 years’ experience practicing as a chiropractor.  She holds a Master’s degree in Chiropractic from Macquarie University and a Science degree with a double major in Anatomy and Physiology.  She holds a further postgraduate qualification in Professional Applied Kinesiology and has attained one of the highest levels of certification in NeuroEmotionalTechnique (NET).

Pain and Joint Function

Jackie’s practice of Chiropractic is much more extensive than focusing solely on the spine.  She is adept at treating the biomechanics of feet, ankles, knees, hips, hands, elbows, shoulders, TMJ, ribs.  She has lectured in the past on myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy and practices with great focus on restoring functional biomechanics.  Her treatment includes: craniosacral adjusting, muscle release techniques, activator instrument, low force joint mobilisation, organ massage, chiropractic manual adjustments, recommendations for supplements and foods to support.

The Emotional Side

NET (NeuroEmotionalTechnique ) is a bodymind technique that helps with the stress from emotional issues.  It is a physical technique that uses the Chinese meridian system.  NET may be incorporated into Chiro appointments in addition to regular adjustments.  Jackie also makes available extended appointments to use NET as a stand alone technique.   For more information on NET visit: www.netmindbody.com

Adrenal Stress and Inflammation

Jackie has completed a year long course in Integrated NeuroImmunology.  This is a new field of study looking at the interrelationship of our neurology with our immune system.  This is a protocol which works to calm and support the HPA axis (Hypothalamus Pituitary Adrenal axis) and the deficiencies which may drive some of our long term health challenges.  Her special interest is adrenal stress syndrome, women's health and pregnancy recovery.

Retained Neonatal Reflexes

Jackie has been addressing the structural component of childhood and neonatal reflex corrections for 18 years since working with the innovator of the field – Keith Keen.
